Cleaning Water Soluble oils from brushes

by Jean Chemay

I love water soluble oils. The best way to clean brushes is with Murphy's Oil Soap, the liquid used for wood floors. It gets paintbrushes thoroughly clean in no time. I started doing this 2 years ago and my brushes look brand new.

I'm curious to hear anyone's advice on which brand makes a more opaque ultramarine blue than W&N Artisan.....

Murphy's Oil Soap

Thanks for the tip! I would definitely get the soap you recommended. Another reader suggested you try Holbein Auqa Duo. Their ultramarine might work better than Winsor's.
