Artisan oils degraded??

by Anonymous

I have used W&N Artisan oils for several years. Just lately (the last 2 or so years) they seem lower in quality than they once were. I notice, too, that they are now advertised as "student" grade paints. Have they indeed been reduced in quality??

Reduced Quality NEW
by: Jenny

I have used Lukas oil paints and some selected Holbein oil paints recently and really love them.'
I agree that Winsor & Newton Artisan's paints are not as good as they used to be. If you want to stick with them, use "Artist's" series rather than "Artisan" series that are more student grade.

Winsor and Newton

I agree that Winsor and Newton has seemed to diminish in terms of their quality in water soluable paints. So far I like Holbein Duo and Lukas best for their quality and prices.
